Biography
Dunsin Oyekan was born on Monday, the 5th of November, 1984 in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. He grew up as the only son of his parents.
His father, Pastor Gbadebo Oyekan was one of the initiators of Pentecostal move in the nation and also the leader of “Spiritual Singers”, a music group in Ilorin.
His dad had a major influence on his choice of music, songwriting and playing of instruments.
In fact, he wanted him to study Music in the University, but it couldn’t become a reality due to some reasons.
Being a lover Gospel music, Dunsin’s father usually take him together to series of musical concerts and other related christian events.
It was also gathered that Ministrel Dunsin started playing guitar as early as 10 years of age. When Dunsin was yet a little younger, his father said prophetically that He could see the dead coming back to life through him.
Dunsin’s father died on Monday, the 30th of March, 2015 – an experience he described as the most excruciating event in his life.
